Home » How To Connect Salus SR600 Smart Relay ( Smart Home )

My name is Allen Hart and in today’s video I’m going to show you how to connect your Salus SR600 Smart Relay to your Smart Home Network. This is part of the Salus Smart Home Range. The SR600 is a 16A smart switching relay that allows you to control switching on and off of electrical appliances. This can all be done through the Salus Smart Home App. Let’s get started on connecting the SR600 to the system. Looking at the wiring of this device you have a live and neutral which makes the SR600 permanently live.

The common and NO terminals are volt free which allows you to use whichever voltage your appliance requires.

If you need to use an override switch you can also use the S1 and S2 terminals to enable this. There is an optional housing, this is the SR600 and you can fit this over the smart relay to protect the terminals. We will now pair our SR600 to the Smart Home Network. Power up the device by turning on the power supply, the LED will start flashing red and this is now in pairing mode. Just a helpful hint, if you’ve left the power on to the device for more than 30 minutes then you can just do a quick refresh by removing the cover and holding the button at the top until the light changes to a yellow orange colour. This is now ready to pair. Go to Salus Smart Home App on your phone or your PC, click on the three lines, click on settings and click on setup equipment and then we can just click on scan for equipment.

That may take a few minutes just to find the relay and there we can see we’ve got the relay so that’s the smart relay. So we just click into that, click on connect equipment and then we can just name this to whatever we want it to be. So I’m just going to put relay and then just click on next.

You will now see the relay on the home screen. You can press the button and you can manually turn the relay on. If you have a look on the front of the relay you can see that it’s also gone green so you’ve just tested that so you know that that’s working now.

Switch that back and it will go back off.

If we click into the relay we can see on there there’s lots of different settings in this. So you’ve got schedules, so you can set schedules, you can also set up the one touch rules. This relay can be used for such things as domestic hot water, towel rails, second returns, pumps, immersion eaters, lighting to name just a few.

That wraps up today’s video. I hope you found it useful. If you’ve got any questions on the SR600 or any of the Sallis Smart Home products leave a comment below and as always like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff and I’ll see you in the next video.
