Wireless Thermostatic Radiator Valve Battery Powered. Part of the it600 series. TRV10 TRV10 RFM
My name is Allen Hart, and in today’s video, I’m going to show you how to connect your Salus TRV10 RFM Smart TRV head to your smart home network. This is part of the Salus smart home range. First of all we need to install the TRV head onto the radiator valve and ensure that it’s tight. You might want to use a pair of grips to nip it up. Then we need to install the batteries, and we just need to make sure we’ve gone the right way around.
The LED on the TRV head will flash red, and you will hear a slight motoring noise. Once the noise stops, press the O button on top of the TRV to start the calibration process. This is the TRV working out the open and the closed position. This may take a couple of minutes. Once the lights have gone off and the motor noise has stopped, you’ll be ready to put it into herring mode. To do this, simply hold down the antenna button for approximately 10 seconds until the red light starts flashing. This is now in pairing mode. Go to your Salus smart home app from your phone or your PC. If we look at the app tap on the three lines go to settings, setup equipment, scan for equipment. That could take a couple of minutes. There we go, so on there, we’ve got a TRV head. Make sure you name this. Normally, I’d name this TRV
and then whichever room you’re going to put it in. So I’m going to put a lounge on this. Click on next and click on finish. From here, you can now link your TRV to the smart thermostat. It’s important to set all the TRV heads up before doing this. So if we just click into the thermostat, click on the dot, and it gives you the options of what you’re going to connect to. So if we click on smart radio control, TRV head, click next, and this will now scan to connect. We can now click on the TRV
and click on pair.
Just put it into a 24-hour format. With that complete, we can now test to see if it works. I’ve just turned the thermostat up.
And there you can hear the click, and the boiler fires up. That wraps up today’s video. I hope you found it useful. If you’ve any questions on the Salus TRV 10 RFM or any of the other Salus smart home products, please leave a comment below and, as always, like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff, and I’ll see you in the next video. part of the it600 series.
